Scholarships

Now Available-There are two scholarships related to Lafayette Hospital + Clinics for which students can apply.

The Lafayette Hospital + Clinics Foundation Scholarship opens on April 1 and closes on April 31, 2026. Qualifications include:

  • Resident of Lafayette County
  • Pursuing a degree in a health care related field
  • Have completed 1 year of post-secondary education
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Have not received this award in the last 12 months.

The Cathy Lee Nursing Scholarship opens on April 1 and closes on April 31, 2026. Qualifications include:

  • Pursuing a degree in the nursing field
  • Have completed one year in the nursing program for bachelor’s degree of one semester of the ADN program
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.

When completing the application: please complete and submit the application form, including attached files for two letters of recommendation and your most recent report card or transcript.

Cathy Lee Nursing Scholarship

Cathy Lee was a dedicated member of the nursing staff at Lafayette Hospital + Clinics for over 35 years. In 1974 she began her employment as a CNA. She furthered her education and became an LPN in 1980. She was taken suddenly by a fight with cancer. Cathy had an excellent work ethic and leadership skills. She always exemplified good character and was very family orientated. Most important of all she was very compassionate about her patients and they always came first. In memory of Cathy, the employees at Lafayette Hospital + Clinics have established a nursing scholarship.  Applicants need to have completed one-year in a nursing program for Bachelors Degree or ADN Program with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.   One (1) $500 scholarship will be awarded each year, after the deadline of May 15th.

Lafayette Hospital + Clinics Foundation Scholarship

The mission of the Lafayette Hospital + Clinics Foundation is to render services to the Lafayette Hospital + Clinics and its patients, and to assist Lafayette Hospital + Clinics in promoting the health and welfare of the community in accordance with the objectives established by the hospital. Applicants must be a resident of Lafayette County, be pursing a healthcare related field, have completed 1 year of post-secondary education, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and have not received this award in the last 12 months. Five (5) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded each year, after the deadline of April 30th.
