Lafayette Hospital + Clinics

LHC Foundation

Welcome to Your New Healthcare Home.

A Tradition of Trusted Care

Lafayette Hospital + Clinics (LHC) is a powerful example of what a community can accomplish when it harnesses the power of a shared dream and a deep sense of commitment to each other. Our journey began in the late 1940’s, when our hospital was created and supported by neighbors who believed local healthcare mattered and was a vital component of a thriving community. They gathered donations, oversaw construction, found capable administrators, and interviewed and hired physicians and staff. When Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County opened in 1952, it was the culmination of years of tremendous effort. Today the baton has been passed to a new generation of people who care just as deeply about their community healthcare.

A new location

Located at the intersection of Hwy. 23 and Bev Anderson Dr. in Darlington, the new location accommodates an 84,000 square foot facility that is more than three times the space of the prior hospital. This location also leaves space for convenient parking and future growth.

The infrastructure to support technology

We will now be able to support advance technology which includes:

  • 3T MRI. LHC is the sole provider of this advanced technology within a 60-mile radius. This on-site service allows our patients to stay close to home and other healthcare facilities the opportunity to refer their patients to us for this convenient service, offering ease in travel and time.
  • Robotic surgery to reduce patient pain and discomfort, speed healing and shorten hospital stays.
  • Electronic Intensive Care Unit (eICU) is a partnership with the physicians at University of Wisconsin Hospitals to offer on-site critical patient care, keeping our patients close to home.

Additional services

You now have two operating rooms and a procedure room to expanded access to care. You will also have better access to the services we know our community needs most like comprehensive orthopedics, urology services and more wellness/prevention, and mental health resources.

A welcoming space

We have created efficiency for staff and a user-friendliness for patients within a warm and welcoming environment that promotes positive healthcare outcomes. Our restaurant style cafe and space for health and wellness classes and events will also be an asset to the community.
