Lafayette Hospital + Clinics (LHC) is proud to announce the 2025 recipients of the Cathy Lee Scholarship: Tomi Daly, daughter of Tom & Michelle Daly (attending Viterbo University in LaCrosse, WI) and Jenna Meier, Daughter of Randy & Christy Meier (attending Edgewood College in Madison, WI). Both recipients are currently enrolled in nursing programs and exemplify the values and dedication that the scholarship honors.
The Cathy Lee Scholarship was established by the employees of Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in memory of Cathy Lee, a beloved member of the hospital’s nursing staff for over 35 years. Cathy began her healthcare career in 1974 as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), and through hard work and determination, became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in 1980. She was known for her exceptional work ethic, leadership skills, and above all, her compassion for patients. Cathy’s dedication to patient care, her strong character, and her deep commitment to both her family and her profession left a lasting impact on the entire community. LHC staff are proud to continue this scholarship in memory of Cathy.
Cathy’s life was cut short by a courageous battle with cancer, but her legacy continues through this scholarship, which supports future nurses who share her passion for caregiving and excellence in the field of healthcare.
LHC congratulates Tomi Daly of Darlington and Jenna Meier of Gratiot on receiving this honor and wishes them continued success in their nursing careers.
