Getting to know Michele Roelli, MD.
Dr. Roelli sees patients at the Argyle and Darlington Primary Care Clinics. Michelle joined the LHC team just over two years ago. The first year she worked as a hospitalist due to a prior noncompete contact. She then transitioned to Primary Care and now will have an additional focus on Women’s Health.
“What I love the most about working at LHC is that the focus is truly on great patient care! When I entered the medical field, it was because I wanted to develop a relationship with my patients and be able to treat them all like family. I feel like I can do that at LHC which is very important to me. As an added benefit, I enjoy working with all the other amazing staff. The people at LHC really are the best. I enjoy seeing patients in the clinic and be part of their wellness journey,” said Dr. Roelli.
Michelle is married to Jason, and they currently live outside of Monroe. He is a partner at Roelli Cheese, outside of Darlington. They have four children – two daughters (20yo & 14yo) and to sons (18yo & 16 yo) as well as two dogs (that she absolutely adores) and one cat. They are both very busy with all of their kid activities, including music, theater and sports – their daughter in college even runs on the cross country and track teams which takes them to Chicago area to cheer her on.
Also, as the Medical Staff Director, the position involves leading the monthly medical staff meetings, helping develop clinic policies and procedures, and troubleshooting any concerns that may arise within the clinic. Dr. Roelli is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and Fellow American Academy of Family Practice.
The Reach Out and Read program was something that Michelle brought to LH+C, because she is passionate about getting books into the hands of all children. The program applies to children through 5 years old. The reason she is committed to this program is because of her love of reading and knowing the many benefits to children of introducing books at an early age and continuing to promote reading. “I love taking care of children in the clinic and helping to promote a positive future for them and one way of doing that is making sure they have books in the home at an early age, ” said Dr. Roelli.
